You set the electrical standard the whole programme builds to: utility service, medium-voltage distribution, protection and the factory-built power modules. You review every design against it and see it through factory and site testing.
What you will do
- Set and keep the electrical design basis: utility service, medium-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS and battery systems
- Review factory-built power modules and site designs against that basis, and sign off changes
- Specify protection, grounding and selective coordination, and review the studies
- Work with utilities, engineers of record and contractors through interconnection and energisation
- Lead the electrical side of factory and site acceptance testing
- Mentor the engineers who join the team after you
What you bring
- Degree in electrical engineering and a PE licence
- 10+ years in data center, utility or industrial power systems, including medium voltage
- Deep working knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 70E and the relevant IEEE standards
- Hands-on commissioning experience and comfort in a factory and on site
Nice to have
- Liquid-cooled, high-density compute loads
- Prefabricated or modular power systems
